The Boys & Girls Club of Hood County Welcome New Board Members
Granbury, TX 5/25/2012 – The Boys & Girls Club of Hood County staff and board of directors are excited to welcome two new board members to the organization.
Toni Brown-Belew is the Executive Director of the United Way of Hood County. With 40 years of experience starting and improving non-profits Toni comes to the Club with a wealth of expertise in Board Governance, Non-Profit Management, Resource Development and much more. Under Toni’s leadership at the United Way, not only has the agency grown but many local non-profit organizations have been well served.
Kylee Peterson is a Business Development Officer at Central Texas Title in Hood County. She has a passion for working with with the children of Hood County. Kylee’s extensive knowledge of the community and nonprofits makes her another excellent addition to the board.
The two new board members join a now twelve-member board. The boards of Boys & Girls Clubs serve three primary roles: establish identity and strategic direction; ensure resources; and provide oversight. In addition to these collective roles, individual members of boards, by agreeing to serve, take on responsibilities for actively participating in the work of the board, staying informed, promoting the Club, safeguarding ethics and values, and upholding their legal obligations, among other responsibilities.
